Research shows that a simple 15-minute walk in nature can decrease up to 16 percent of the stress hormone, cortisol, and it can also reduce your heart rate by up to 4 percent.2 Even looking at pictures of nature for an extended period of time can help reduce stress! YOUR CHALLENGE: Skip the office lunch in front of your computer and explore the outdoors! If it’s too cold outside, try a conference room. This week’s challenge is to eat your lunch in an unconventional setting and take the time to let the food digest. To spice it up, invite your coworkers and turn lunch into an informal meeting or just a hangout!
